The Aqua GymBike allows users to work on all muscle groups by adapting endurance and resistance levels with intensity and range of motion.
Despite the Aqua GymBike’s natural stability, core muscles will always be spontaneously activated to provide balance and buoyancy for the user. All exercises are recommended to be performed with braced core to increase effect on that area.
The footrests should be at the back to have more space to perform the movements.
The following videos provide users with an indication of the many exercises that can be performed on the Aqua GymBike.
1. Cardiovascular workout - Pedalling and rowing sitting astride the saddle.
2. Pedalling forward / backward – Hold the handles tight and brace the core.
3. Circles with legs outwards /inwards - Hold the handles tight and brace the core.
4. Standing scissors with legs and arms.
5. Push ups/Dips - Make sure that the footrests are firmly tightened and put your feet on them only for balance with soft legs.
6. Horizontal /Vertical scissors with or without ankle cuffs - Use the floaters as support holding the handles tight & brace the core.
7. Building blocks with feet – Use the floaters as support holding the handles tight & brace the core.
8. Swing legs from one side to the other – Use the floaters as support holding the handles tight & brace the core.
9. Isometric core exercise.
10. It can be used as a kick board with higher stability and buoyancy.
11. For those that can’t stay away from their phone, keep moving instead of scrolling from the lounge!
Water-based exercise offers resistance training through the hydrostatic pressure of water across the whole body surface, which offers additional benefits for balance, coordination and mobility.
